Charles Vincent
We will have a more comprehensive write-up and some great pictures and video posted later this week, but in the meantime, here are the results from our 5th Annual Delaware Charity Challenge 5K & Adventure Challenge Relay, which was held at Lums Pond State Park on Saturday, May 4, 2019. Teams raised more than $21,000 for eleven area nonprofits in the 2019 Spring Race to Raise. Team Veritext took top honors again this spring by raising more than $12,000 for Ministry of Caring. Family Promise of New Castle County raised the most money of the official nonprofit teams, winning the Wilmington Blue Rocks grand prize. Runners from Team Faithful Friends won both the Men’s and Women’s competitive divisions in the 5K, winning money for Faithful Friends Animal Society in the process. Seven teams competed in the Adventure Challenge Relay this year, which was won by Team Green Beret Team 2 (who won money for Green Beret Project) and Five Rivers Fitness finished second (winning money for Junior League of Wilmington). Thank you again to all of our volunteers, competitors, and of course the teams who raised more than $21,000 this spring for their favorite nonprofits.
