Caffé Gelato To Award Chef Tasting as a Team Fundraising Prize in the Spring Delaware Charity Challenge

Wilmington, DE, April 9, 2019 – Spur Impact and Caffé Gelato Restaurant and Catering are pleased to announce that Caffé Gelato Restaurant and Catering will be a prize sponsor for the Fifth Annual Delaware Charity Challenge 5K and Adventure Challenge Relay. The Caffé Gelato prize will be awarded to the team that raises the most money from April 22 to April 29 as part of the 2019 Delaware Charity Challenge Spring "Race-to-Raise" fundraising competition. The Delaware Charity Challenge is the area's premier fundraising and athletic competition designed to give organizations, families, and individuals a fun and inexpensive way to raise money and awareness for their favorite causes.
Caffé Gelato Restaurant and Catering, located on Main Street in Newark, Delaware, will award a chef tasting for two people to the team that raises the most money on their Delaware Charity Challenge team fundraising page from April 22 through April 29 in the 2019 Spring Race to Raise fundraising competition. The dinner is a 7 course dinner including wine (a $125 value). It must be scheduled directly with Caffé Gelato and must be used before November 30, 2019. The team captain will be awarded the certificate. The Caffé Gelato prize will be awarded in addition to any other prizes that are also awarded or won from the Delaware Charity Challenge or the prize pool.
"A chef tasting from the award winning Caffé Gelato is a wonderful prize to motivate our teams to raise money for their favorite cause leading up to the conclusion of the spring fundraising competition," says Charlie Vincent, Executive Director of Spur Impact, the nonprofit which organizes and manages the Delaware Charity Challenge.
Registration is open for 5th Annual Delaware Charity Challenge 5K and Adventure Challenge Relay, which takes place Lums Pond State Park on Saturday, May 4, 2019. Race registration for the 5K is $35/participant with discounts available for nonprofits or larger teams. Runners can form teams and race in competitive team scoring categories or in the fun team run/walk. Competitors can also challenge themselves in the Adventure Challenge Relay, which consists of a series of different races for pairs and larger teams, including a canoe race, a pedal boat race, a mountain bike race, a run, and other team puzzle challenges. Race registration for the Adventure Challenge Relay is $50/person or $250/team (5-8 people).
There will also be two other Delaware Charity Challenge competitions in 2019 after the May 4 races at Lums Pond. The Race Across Killens Pond 5K will take place June 23 at Killens Pond State Park in Felton, Delaware. The First State Duathlon will take place at Bellevue State Park in Wilmington, Delaware on July 20.
